Well, the first night passed by. We woke up in a nice sunny morning. Last day was the hardest for us, since we all travel together.
By plane from Hong Kong, we arrived at Nadi International Airport early in the morning and without any official complications left the airport. From six years ago from my last visit I noticed that the airport was a bit more modernized and made it look more beautiful than it was.
The next change we experienced was on the bus. As soon as we entered, we found out that there would be no cash payment, because they updated the payment with the card as in our cities. Although it’s clear that Fiji is changing and modernizing, it’s still nice to see the old busy buses with an Indian driver, open windows and with a string which rings the bell and the driver is already stopping the bus.

When we arrived to Nadi, we soon found out that all this load, which we have with us, would obstruct us. Just imagine a 5 feet high woman with twenty kilograms of backpack, plus one of Ana’s stuff.
But since we were all tired and Ana was a little more demanding than usual, we just could not wait to put our backpacks down from our shoulders. Before that, we had to catch a minibus to Lautoka and walk from there to the house of my friend Jimmy, who I know for ten years now and I regularly return to him, but now we will be three.

It was really a busy way coming here, but we made it. We will have to get used to their slow pace, because now that I write, we are still waiting to go to the city, although we said that three hours ago.
I hope to get out soon and buy a couple of essential things for Ana’s lunch. We already got used to their kasawa and vegetable soup with chicken. Ana will slowly adjust to their food. By that time, we will make sure that she eats what she likes best.
Otherwise, we are planning further travel adventures in a very different environment of the people we were used to. We will soon be able to appreciate the simple things in life that we are forgetting in our stressful rhythm.
