7 fairytale destinations

We present the places that made a great impression on us and we would return without hesitation with the goal of making even greater use of the architectural and natural attractions that they offer. We adore the natural beauty of the landscapes and the specificities of places or towns. Each of them has its own energy and features that make it so unique, special.

1.Paris (France)

A romantic place with many museums, galleries, bridges over the Sena river and other sights that are not running out. Week in Paris will be remembered as our first journey by plane as a family, when Ana was barely three months old. We enjoyed a lot of shopping in the streets of Paris, exploring the corners of the city and eating in the best bistros and restaurants, many of them with Michelin stars.

2.Kadavu (Fiji)

Kadavu is one of the most beautiful islands with its original nature and untouched coral reefs, which we have visited so far. Due to hilly terrain and lush tropical vegetation on the island there are no roads. In a very bad weather and after a turbulent sea we got to the resort by boat. Because of the team of Papageno Eco Resort we felt just like at home, in a mystical environment, far from the civilization.

3.Cappadocia (Turkey)

As we roll back the time, we are still very vividly imagining how we explored the landscape of hundreds of unusual cones and towers similar to minarets. We lived in caves, which in the course of history, the locals from the funds of soft volcanic rocks transformed into dwellings. Cappadocia will remain in our memory, especially because of a balloon flight. A look at the waking morning and a number of constantly changing shades of colors brought us into the fantasy world of this fairytale valley.

Honeymoon, which could easily be repeated again. We also recommend visiting the island if you are not newlyweds and we suggest you staying in the villages of Oia and Imerovigli, which are the places of many boutique hotels and beautiful views of the caldera and the peaceful Aegean Sea. Since the island is also famous for good wines, we went to the most famous wine cellar on the island, Domaine Sigalas, to wine tasting.

A place that impresses at every turn and in all seasons. It is a place for football enthusiasts and fans who are at heart with the Catalan team. For lovers of good food, there are many tapas bars on the streets, where you can enjoy the small bites and a glass of Spanish sparkling wine – Cava. Even if you are not a great enthusiastic of architecture, when you visit Barcelona, you will have a look at La Sagrada Familia and other architectural surpluses of Antonio Gaudi, found throughout the city and elsewhere in Spain. Near the main promenade, La Rambla, is one of the best markets in the world, La Boqueria. There are also many museums and galleries in Barcelona. We, for example, visited the Picasso Museum.

6.Sydney (Australia)

We looked at this multicultural city with great interest and excitement, watched the people around us, and we were surprised at how much attention they paid to the healthy way of life. We spent a full week in Sydney, and we could stay even longer, because we enjoyed the city’s beat. We always started in the neighborhood and we slowly explored the city. In the meantime we jumped on a brunch or lunch. After a long day in the evening, we settled comfortably in our Airbnb, where we felt very cozy and just like at home.

7.Queenstown (New Zealand)

Around New Zealand we traveled with a motorhome and stopped, among other places, in Queenstown. We have not seen so many adrenaline sports in one place anywhere else. Here we ate the best calorie breakfast so far – Egg Benedict. We were so full that we did not eat until late in the afternoon. For dinner we had one of the best hamburgers with Steinlager beer. These two culinary experiences have not yet been repeated for now on our trips.

We very much want to return to the city, which lies in an idyllic location along Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by magnificent mountains. We think that we did not have enough time to take advantage of everything that Queenstown offers.
