Bali – part 1

Our little girl is in her 21 months of age and she became a real little traveler. Late in the evening when we arrived in Bali, her eyes were big with excitement and joy as she walked along the soft greenery of our villa Blubambu in Seminyak. After our first short night we went for a little walk around the nearby area of Seminyak and soon we realized that we need a transportation to go around.

So the next day we sat on a motorcycle and made a trip to south of Kuta to beautiful sandy beaches. Padangpadang and Suluban are well known for their good waves for surfing, but also the place where you can soak in the warm sea. Although the Suluban beach is not suitable for enjoying on the beach, it is worth it because of the interesting position between two huge rocky walls and an interesting exit to the sea. We visited the temple Uluwatu, which lies on a steep cliff above the sea.

We were a little worried driving back through Kuta, because the road is very chaotic, full of traffic and unpredictable drivers. We quickly got on our way, which ended with theft of the phone. A man on the bike grabbed the phone of my wife’s hand while we were driving. He quickly disappeared into the neighboring street.

We were left without a phone and without a navigation, lost in the middle of Kuta. Fortunately, we had a contact from the hotel and an almost empty phone, which was enough for a call to come for us.

The next day we spent tie at the pool of our little villa, and in the afternoon we gathered courage and went to the Tanah Lot temple.

The temple is located on a small islet along the rocky coast and at a time of the tide it is accessible just on foot. When we became hungry and it started to darken, we visited the Dandelion restaurant in Canggu, with a beautiful ambiance and good food. After the beautiful end of the day, we have completely forgotten yesterday’s event with a phone.

We were here for the third day and we decided to take a little longer trip to Padangbai beach, where boats drive to the Lombok and Gili islands. From travelers, taxi drivers and people who offered various excursions from snorkeling and diving, we moved beyond the hill nearby to the beautiful piece of white sand beach on which we were only a few.

When we were swimming and enjoying the beautiful piece of the beautiful coast, we met the father and son from who were Dutch. We spent the afternoon with them, we visited the Pasir Putih beach, near Candidasa, and while we were driving back to hotel we visited the Luwak coffe farm for a Luwak coffe. In the evening we stoped in Indonesian restaurant Tamade for a dinner.

On the recommendation of newly friends, the next morning we drove with Uber taxi to our hotel in Ubud. We were very surprised with the price of Uber taxi transport, which is cheaper for a half price than regular taxi. The driver also told us that the Uber drivers in Bali are not very welcome and often have some kind of problems with taxi drivers, as they are very competitive. For us tourists Uber service is a good transportation for a good price.

The hotel told us that there are guests in the villa and that we will have to wait a bit longer. We had an early booking in one of the most rated restaurants in Asia in the afternoon. Quickly we went with the shuttle bus to the center of Ubud, where we ate a little and went around.

Then in the afternoon we entered Locavore and settled in a more restful corner of the restaurant. The staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant were really special. We started with small bites which excited and new tastes did not end. Then the seven coars that were for my concepts and taste of real perfection were incredible. During lunch our Ana emptied a smartphone battery with her best cartoon Masha and the Bear, so we all had a great time.

Since we were promised a 15 minute foot massage on arrival at the hotel, we did not resist and gladly set our tired feet. That day we fell asleep with the thought of a new day.
