Where are our dreams?

Some of you know about Fiji or maybe have you heard of this islands in the middle of the South Pacific, adorned by many tropical beaches. I am not writing to you so that I can now explain the tourist places and the most famous islands that make this place more than not known.

In the traveler’s journals, which we have read and we are still reading, we can see the same places, drinking Yangona and more superficially describing how the locals on this island are hospitable and that they are always ranked on the top as the most happy people in the world.

But we are looking at Fiji as the saviour of our “going in circle life” in Slovenia. With countless opportunities to do something out of our common life and many questions, whether to take a loan for the rest of our life. We do not say that it would not be nice to have something of our own, a nice little house in the village, a little garden and a nice yard. All this looks from the outside dreamy, and twice a year we could go on a trip for a week or two.

However, have any of you asked yourself what is the meaning of life? Let’s be mad from Monday to Friday in a fast rhythm, and finally we find that the year has passed by and we still do things that we just need to do. In the end, we are running out of time for family, hobbies and relationships.

Mutual relations at home, with friends, in the street and in the village are more of horse races than sincere, cheerful conversations. If, however, the conversation arises, they are mostly very shallow, empty, and mostly only courtesy.

The thinking in our beautiful Alpine region must change, but we do not know how, if the material world and rhythm shape our way of life.

Let’s be brave, get out of the frames and grab the dreams who are coming back to our life.
