Canggu is the best and most beautiful place for us in Bali, where we could easily spend weeks or even months. Are you interested in why?
Sydney
I didn’t have any expectations for Sydney, because we had quite different plans before the trip and Sydney was not one of them. Maybe was Suzi’s secret wish to visit this place. As we planned a trip from Fiji, her desire to visit Sydney immediately turned into an electronic airline card in our mailbox. It would really be foolish to let this opportunity go, from the fact that we are so close to the beautiful city.
Kenda manor
At Kendov Dvorec we are bound by special memories that we will never forget. The first time we visited was on Valentine’s Day. We still remember how it was then and how we promised that we would regularly go to this hotel.
Samoa – the pearl of Pacific
West Samoa is truly a beautiful islands in the South Pacific, if not the most. Did we even decide right that we shorten our stay for only one week from the planned two months?
From the first day, our dreams began to slow down, we found out that it was not possible to get money with our debit card and that we had an almost useless card with a maestro chip. We were forced to withdraw money from our credit card.
Suva the green city
Since we have been here for a while, in Suva, and we are always returning from the islands to this capital city of Fiji, we have to write something about how we spend time here. Because the city is known for its very frequent rain during the whole year, most of the time in the backpack we wear raincoats and umbrellas, because the weather is changing very rapidly here. This city is the largest city in the South Pacific and is architecturally rich with colonial buildings and modern shopping centers such as Tappo city and MHCC.
Garden Island
Taveuni Island or Garden Island. Beautiful palm groves, a fertile land that offers plenty of fresh fruit such as mangoes, pineapple and papaya, beaches that you see on postcards and people who take you with all your heart.
First visit at the doctor
Today is monday and we came from a long walk around the city. We went to check the date of our departure to the island Rotuma, which was delayed for another day to October 18th. Here you can not rely on the exact dates and hours of departure. But that is ok, we will spend another day with our family in Suva. Ana just got used to the rhythm here. For the last two days she got rashes on her arms, legs and even her face.
Will friday 13th be a happy day for us?
Today, on friday 13th and exactly on this day, we bought tickets to the remote island Rotuma, which is still under Fiji and is exactly two days sailing by boat. We intend to stay there for about a month or until the next arrival of the first ship. We all want to get out of the city as soon as possible, so that Ana can enjoy the sea and the sand she loves so much. We also want a little more freedom, peace, and we believe that we will enjoy on this island very much.
Fiji time – going crazy!
When we were at home in Slovenia, we really wanted our pace of life to calm down. Too much rushing around, superficial communication, of course, there is a routine here that we can’t tolerate it and we are loosing our nerves every day more. Here in Fiji, the story is completely different. We knew that the rhythm of life would be completely changed. Fiji time or “going crazy”.
