Searching for yourself in the middle of the ocean

The month of October is slowly coming. In our minds there are certain fears about things that we must continue to do before our departure. Interesting in all this planning is, that for some things we do not even know how to deal with them, and because of this, sometimes we don’t know the way out. In life we always want to be one hundred percent. But what in life is one hundred percent? That’s why we want to get out of our head this kind of thinking.

All of us are happy about every small step we make together, even the ordering of raincoats from ALIEXPRES, or every cent of the euro that we put into our piggy bank while Ana happily sings her song.

Sometimes we wish that the piggy bank would be full of money. But the most important thing is that we love each other.

Now, we also have a paid ticket for the further journey from Fiji to West Samoa, because our goal is to visit Tokelau, an island of three atolls dispersed in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The only connection to this isolated island is from the port of the capital city of Samoa. The ship is sailing about twice a month and traveling there takes about 24 to 36 hours. We only hope that luck will be on our side and that our feet will be able to step on one of the most remote islands on our planet.

For the first three months we are waiting for the mysterious and little less known islands of Fiji. Since we will have a little more time, we intend to go with ship from Suva, travel and explore the coral islands, the islands of Lau Group which, according to culture and race, are quite opposite to the main two major islands, as they are located near Tonga. We also want to visit the volcanic island of Rotuma. It is located 465 km north of the main island and is also interesting from this point of view that the inhabitants are Polynesians, who many years ago settled an island from the present islands of the countries of Tonga, Samoa, Wallis and Futuna.

So, we have planned trip for the first five months, maybe the bucket list changes little and drops something, maybe we visit some of the less known islands more. Let’s be amazed! We can not wait for our South Pacific tour to start.
